Our decoctions are made in-house at Lush manufactures and involve boiling raw ingredients, such as vanilla pods, until half the water evaporates. This technique is a staple of herbalism, alongside infusions and tinctures, and creates potent liquid extracts full of benefits for the skin and hair.

Sourcing and benefits

Lush UK purchases vanilla pods from the Ndali farm in Uganda. This curing facility, where vanilla beans go through a 3 to 6-month-long maturing process, purchases green beans from a cooperative union that enables Ugandan farmers to maintain fair prices throughout the market's fluctuations.
