Where do we source organic fair trade bananas?

Lush UK* purchase our organic fair trade bananas from Riverford, a UK-based distributor that works with organic fruit and vegetable growers. Their bananas are sourced from specialist farmers in the Dominican Republic, where a respect for nature goes hand in hand with good working conditions and fair pay for farmers and workers. Our supplier ships the bananas to the UK by boat, taking around four or five weeks to arrive - giving them just enough time to ripen ready for use in our products.
